Biography
Laurie Semple earned her A.A.S. degree in Dental Assisting and B.S. degree in Allied Health Education from Ferris State University. She is credentialed as a Certified Dental Assistant, Registered Dental Assistant (Michigan and Texas), and Dental Practice Management Assistant. She is an active member of her national, state, and local dental assisting professional associations and served as Past President for both theTexas and Fort Worth District Dental Assistants Organizations. She has served as a member of the Radiation Health and Safety Test Construction Committee of the Dental Assisting National Board.
Laurie is currently serving as Program Coordinator for the dental assisting program at Tarrant County College in Hurst, Texas. She has authored several articles published in professional dental journals and co-authored an on-line CE course. She is a program facilitator of dental auxiliary continuing educational programs for local, state, and national dental meetings.
Laurie Semple has over thirty years clinical and practical experience in the dental profession as a clinical chairside assistant, administrative practice manager, dental assisting educator, and professional presenter of dental related CE programs. Mrs. Semple is the owner of Professional Pursuits, a firm specializing in practice management, staff development, and allied health educational programs.
